Part-time opportunities

Profiles, Inc. is looking for a responsible assistant to perform a variety of administrative tasks. Duties include providing support to the CEO, managers and employees; assisting in daily office needs; and managing the company’s general administrative activities. We are seeking someone to join us 20-30 hours a week.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting staff with event and meeting preparations
  • Working with company vendors pertaining to phone service, internet service, computer software/hardware, company website, copier machine, etc.
  • Getting and sorting mail including the acceptance and return of packages
  • Coordinating birthday and office “fun” events
  • Managing office supply inventory
  • Answering and directing phone calls
  • Making bank deposits
  • Providing general support to visitors
  • Ability to assist with editing/proofing materials a bonus


  • Not allergic to dogs (dog-friendly office!)
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
  • Attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task

Internship opportunities

Throughout the year, we welcome several collegiate students to our internship program and provide them with meaningful opportunities gaining valuable experience in the public relations, marketing, social media and events industries. At Profiles, our interns don’t run coffee; they’re part of our team. Our interns have gone on to work with such organizations as Baltimore magazine, Habitat for Humanity, University of Maryland College Park’s Athletics Department, Under Armour, Visit Baltimore and countless other prestigious companies. Others have used their experience at Profiles to pursue graduate degrees, become entrepreneurs in the PR industry and find opportunities abroad.

Interns at Profiles are responsible for an assortment of professional duties including, but not limited to: drafting media materials, media database management (including training of Cision), developing content for social media platforms, media tracking, planning special events, coordinating promotions and learning the day-to-day workings of a PR firm.

Our internships are for credit or experience only, and we welcome applicants of all college levels and majors.

We are currently seeking both Media Relations and Social Media interns for the Spring semester.
