Since joining Profiles in 2005, Jamie has been highly successful in advancing client messages through strategic communication and marketing programs. In her role as senior vice president, Jamie manages media relations programs, coordinates special events, develops grassroots marketing initiatives and handles social media efforts for a variety of clients in addition to supporting the business’ daily operations and business development efforts.
Through innovative media relations campaigns, Jamie has obtained national coverage for clients on NBC’s Today Show, ABC’s 20/20, National Public Radio’s All Things Considered, as well as in the New York Times.
In 2015, The Daily Record recognized Jamie as one of their Leading Women, a recognition that honors women 40 or younger for their tremendous accomplishments they have made so far in their career. Jamie was also recognized as one of PR News’ “15 to Watch” in 2011, which honors budding PR leaders and creative practitioners, age 30 and under, from around the world. Her work with the American Craft Council and Gregg Bernstein garnered two “Best in Maryland Awards” from the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).
Before beginning her career at Profiles, Jamie spent two years at Rowman & Littlefield Publishing Group in the publicity department where she secured media coverage for authors, coordinated special events such as book signings with book stores nationwide, maintained media clips and organized review copy mailings to media outlets across the country.
Jamie currently serves on the board of directors for Building STEPS, a Baltimore-based non-profit that exposes underserved high school students to science and technology-based careers. She is also a member of the Baltimore Public Relations Council.
Jamie graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2005 with a degree in communication. She is from Harleysville, Pa., just outside of Philadelphia and now resides in Crofton, Md.
